A message from the Chief Executive

Centenary Fund

  • Badges and membership certificates

First of all I have to apologise for the extreme delay in getting the Centenary Fund badges out to all those who have taken out membership since the fund was launched.

There has been a catalogue of problems in getting the badges with lost orders, poor quality and delivery issues to name but a few however I am delighted to advise that badges will be sent out to every Centenary Fund member over the next week and that certificates and membership cards are also being sent out to all those who did not receive them in the first round of mailings some months ago.

Membership numbers are growing steadily with over 660 persons having a membership at one of the three levels. This is around 25% of our regular home attendance which is a fantastic achievement. After allowing for prizes, commission and postage and printing costs the fund is now generating over £50000 a year for the benefit of the club.

This was most evident recently when the club was able to use some of the funds to extend the contracts of a number of players including Liam Buchanan. There is no doubt about it that your generosity is underpinning the club’s efforts to secure Premier League football next season.

In association with the Jags Trust the club is giving an additional incentive to anyone joining the fund between now and the end of December in that all those who do so will be entered into an extra draw which will take place in January 2010 with the chance of winning a table for four in the Alan Rough lounge at a league game this season or a £20 gift voucher.

  •      Xmas Gift

This year if you are looking for an unusual gift and are also interested in helping the club at the same time why not take out a Centenary Fund membership on behalf of a friend or family member.

All new members whose membership forms are received by Friday 11th December 09 will receive their membership pack comprising card, certificate and badge in a gift box by special delivery prior to Xmas. In addition they will also receive a 2010 Partick Thistle calendar signed by the manager and the coaching staff worth £4.99 free of charge.

You can either send in a completed form together with your cheque for one year’s membership in advance plus £2.50 for postage and packing or pay by credit card or complete the standing order mandate. If paying by standing order you will also need to enclose a cheque for £2.50 postage and packing.

Please be sure to tick the box marked ‘Xmas Gift’ on the Sign up and Standing Order form in order that the staff can organize your gift box and calendar in time for Xmas.

  • 2010 Calendar

After a number of years’ absence the club is again producing a team calendar which will contain action pics of goalmouth incidents and some of your favourite players.

This will be a limited edition calendar which will only be available from the club and will be on sale also at the next 4 home matches.

The price will be £4.99 plus £1.50 post and packing if you require it to be sent out.

More details will be posted on the website shortly

  • October Car Draw

Finally, congratulations to Jim Stewart, a Centenary Fund Gold Member and season ticket holder and his father Jim senior, also a season ticket holder and at 85 years of age now the co-owner of a brand new Citroen C2 car courtesy of Citroen (Finnieston).

This is the third such car we have given away and we wish Jim and his father many happy years motoring.

The next draw will be in April when again one lucky member of the Centenary Fund will walk away with a brand new Citroen car.
