Team Partick Thistle
Wednesday 4th November 2009
Partick Thistle is the newest recruit in the Suns Movember Campaign. The first team, Assistant Manager Gerry Britton and Physio Kenny Crichton will all grow moustaches to raise money and awareness for Movember, an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, and specifically prostate cancer.
To date, Movember has raised over £30 million globally for the fight against prostate cancer and depression in men. And, more importantly, as a direct result, male awareness of health issues has improved with Movember helping to spread health messages directly to millions of Mo Bros & Sistas around the world.

Partick Thistle player Willie Kinniburgh said “We’d seen the stuff about Movember in The Scottish Sun so I asked all the lads if they’d do it and they all fancied it as it’s for a great cause. The boys are running a competition to see who has the worse moustache at the end of it” The picture above is a small thumbnail image of the style of moustaches the guys hope to grow naturally by the end of the month. A better quality selection of fun images of the guys displaying their majestic hirsuteness can now be seen in the miscelleneous photo section of the media gallery above.
