Partick Thistle 1, Raith Rovers 2

Saturday 31st October 2009

Thistle ‘s unbeaten home league record went as Raith Rovers recorded a 2-1 victory on their first visit to Firhill for nearly 4 years.

It was Thistle that took the lead in the 33rd minute against the run of play when Simon Donnelly converted a Paul Cairney assist.

Raith though were level after 42 minutes when Ryan Wallace fired home from 12 yards out.

Thistle pressed from the start of the second half but were hit with a sucker punch in the 62nd minute. Tuffey initially did well to save from Tade but when the loose ball wasn't cleared Sloan nipped in to score.

Thistle tried their best to find a way back into the game but the Rovers defence held firm.
