Sign up for the Centenary Fund on Saturday
Thursday 15th October 2009
On Saturday members of the Jag Trust will again be in the Warriors' shop in the Jackie Husband Stand (beside the entrance to section 6). They will have Centenary Fund application forms, pens and envelopes so people can sign up for the Centenary Fund in a couple of minutes prior to the match starting.
The Centenary Fund is proving to be an important fundraiser as Chairman Allan Cowan's explained just after Liam Buchanan, Paul Cairney, Kris Doolan and Chris Erskine signed their contract extensions.
"Ian McCall is doing an excellent job here at Firhill in putting together a team that we can all take pride in. Just as it is important to recruit players in the first place it is also important to retain players and help maintain continuity at the Club. With that in mind we were delighted when Liam, Paul, Kris and Chris agreed to extend their stays at Firhill. The fact that we were able to do so at this time was due in no small measure to the success of the Centenary Fund which continues to grow and provide the Club with invaluable additional income. At our last home game the Club were presented with the latest £15,000 cheque from the Centenary Fund and it was that money that helped secure these four players on extended contracts."
