Partick Thistle Football Club

 Centenary Strip Update

Thursday 17th September 2009

Partick Thistle Football Club and Greaves Sports will unveil the club's new centenary strip tomorrow - with the kit going on sale at both Greaves' stores tomorrow morning from 8.45am.

Catch a first sighting of the commemorative and limited edition strip in the front window of Greaves Sports on Sauchiehall Street today.

Or visit ptfc.co.uk tomorrow for the first pictures of the one-off kit, launched 100 years to the day since the Jags' first ever game at Firhill. The strip will be worn for the first time by Thistle this Saturday during the league match against Dunfermline at Firhill and will be available to buy at the main Firhill club shop from 1pm prior to the game.

Thistle's first ever match at Firhill was against Dumbarton Harp on September 18, 1909. One hundred years and one day later, the club is marking the occasion with a gala day starting at 11am - while there will be a special 16-page supplement within the Dunfermline match programme looking back at a century at Firhill.
