It was quite an afternoon in Inverness with Thistle hanging on for a 3-2 win.

A three goal burst in 7 first half minutes won the points for Thistle. Goal number one arrived in the 37^th minute. A Hodge free kick was headed on by Robertson and Buchanan's back heel found the net.

Two minutes later Thistle and Buchanan had a second. Liam taking advantage of a Duncan error to lob the ball into the net.

On the stroke of half-time it was 3-0 when Alan Archibald netted a rare goal (pictured) as Thistle hit Inverness on the counter attack.

Thistle missed chances to make it 4 before Rooney converted a penalty in the 63^rd and when with 13 minutes remaining Foran scored a second goal for Inverness it was game on once more.

Thistle withstood some unbelievable pressure before the points were, finally, safe.
