Strip Update

Partick Thistle Football Club and Greaves Sports are delighted to confirm that a special centenary strip, to mark 100 years of football for the club at Firhill, will be worn by the first team in the home league game against Dunfermline on September 19.
The one-off commemorative kit will first be available for sale at both Greaves Sports’ outlets in the city on Friday, September 18 – 100 years to the day since Thistle’s first game at Firhill against Dumbarton Harp. It will then be available at the Firhill club shops on Saturday, September 19.
The centenary strip will be launched during the week running up to Dunfermline game – check www.ptfc.co.uk, greavessports.com (external link) and press for details. Season ticket holders have until October 31 to use their discount voucher for this item.
Thistle’s first ever match at Firhill was against Dumbarton Harp on September 18, 1909. One hundred years and one day later, the club is marking the occasion with a gala day starting at 11am – while there will be a special 16-page supplement within the Dunfermline match programme looking back at a century at Firhill.
In addition to the centenary strip launch, the 2009/10 away strip – unveiled in August – will go on general sale from October 1. The discount voucher for season ticket holders for the away strip has been extended until October 31 to ensure supporters have every opportunity to take advantage of this offer.
