90 mins+: Strong shouts for a Thistle penalty as Doolan goes down in the box but it is a lost cause now.

90 mins: Into injury time.

87 mins: Paul Paton collects a yellow card as Morton have a free kick right on the edge of the Thistle box. Three men over it GOAL MORTON. Tidser's shot takes a deflection off the wall and although halliwell looks to get across in time the linesman signals that it crossed the line. Halliwell collects a yellow card for his protests.

86 mins: Colin Stewart grabs a Boyle cross.

77 mins: Kris Doolan flashes a shot from 20 yards wide of target.

76 mins: Nathan Shephard has a shot for Morton but Halliwell is well placed to save.

75 mins: To say that the football isn't matching the weather here at Cappielow would be an under statement.

62 mins: And that is Liam's afternoon over as he comes off and is replaced by Kris Doolan.

61 mins: All of a sudden we nearly have one. David Rowson's ball in behind the Morton defence finds Liam Buchanan but he can't get his shot on target as his frustrating run in front of goal continues.

60 mins: That's the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half completed. Better from Thistle but no hint of a goal or a chance yet.

55 mins: Promising from Thistle as Liam Buchanan is able to get his head to a Paddy Boyle cross but he can't get enough power or direction on his header to get it beyond Colin Stewart.

50 mins: Chris Erskine earns Thistle a corner but it is stright into the waiting arms of Colin Stewart.

46 mins: First chance of the second half comes Morton's way but Allan Jenkins snatches at a good chance and sends his shot over the bar. Thistle now with a flat back four.

Morton get the game underway again.

Double change at the break for Thistle. Simon Donnelly and Chris Erskine on with Martin Grehan and Balatoni going off.

Morton have merited their lead and there will need to be an improvement from a toothless Thistle side after the break to emerge from this game with a point.

HALF-TIME

44 mins: A second Morton goal before the break and Thistle would be in real trouble and Weatherson isn't that far away from scoring that goal. He uses his strength at the edge of the box to hold off the Thistle defence but his shot is wide.

38 mins: Boos from the home crowd as Halliwell gets just enough on the ball to deny Kean a clear scoring opportunity. As Kean goes down there are some Morton fans that feel there had been a foul but referee Winter gets this call spot on.

36 mins: It's been better stuff from Thistle in the last few minutes and Iain Flannigan is a foot or so too high with a 20 yard shot after collecting a pass from Martin Grehan.

35 mins: Thistle close to a goal. Iain Flannigan's free kick from the left is only partially cleared and when the ball breaks to John Robertson his shot is blocked by a Morton defender.

34 mins: Iain Flannigan lays the ball to Paul Cairney but from the edge of the box Cairney scoops his shot over the bar.

33 mins: Thistle break quickly through Liam Buchanan but at the edge of the box there is one pass too many and any hope of a goal is lost.

32 mins: Morton corner on the right. Thistle half clear before Kean sends a shot wide of the post.

31 mins: Thistle slack in giving the ball away again. And John Robertson has to come across and clear a Kean cross.

29 mins: Kevin McKinlay's shot from 30 yards is always heading off target but by no more than a foot or so. Opportunity came after Thistle had been careless in giving the ball away which has been a feature of a scrappy opening 3o minutes.

25 mins: There hasn't been much response from Thistle to the loss of the goal and Morton look comfortable with their lead.

20 mins: Thistle win their first corner. On the right and taken by Flannigan. It's headed clear and although Flannigan gets the ball back his cross is again headed clear.

18 mins: Morton win the game's first corner. GOAL MORTON. Thistledon't clear it porperly and from inside the six yard box Stewart Kean is able to find the net.

15 mins: David Rowson's shot from 30 yards out is mishit and trickles wide of goal.

13 mins: Thistle really haven't got going yet with the better play coming from the home side. The Thistle defence though is, so far, coping well.

9 mins: Iain Flannigan has Thistle's first shot at goal but he is well off target.

8 mins: A glimpse of a chance for Morton. Marc Smyth's cross field pass picks out Peter Weatherson but there are no takers for Weatherson's cross.

7 mins: It's been a low key opening period as both teams try and settle.

2 mins: Morton have an early free kick just outside the Thistle box. Thistle are nearly got napping when the ball is squared to Tidser rather than crossed into the box but the ball is cleared.

0 mins: Thistle kick the game off and will be shooting away from the Thistle fans in the first half.

PRE-MATCH NEWS: It's a case of same again for Thistle this afternoon. After last week's 1-0 win over Dundee, manager Ian McCall has selected the same side, including the 5 substitutes, for the trip to Cappielow which means no place for the free from suspension Willie Kinniburgh.
