Presentation at Annan

Pictured below is Thistle Vice-Chair Tom Hughes, on behalf of Partick Thistle Football Club, receiving a presentation from Annan Athletic Chairman Henry McClelland after yesterday’s Co-Operative Insurance Cup tie.
Said the Annan Chairman after yesterday’s game;
“Today’s game was a significant one for Annan Athletic. After away draws in the last two seasons, it represented our first ever home tie in the Co-Operative Insurance Cup since being admitted to the Scottish Football League.”
“Additionally although we have played a number of friendlies against top class opposition, Partick Thistle are the highest ranked team to visit Galabank for a competitive fixture.”
Yesterday Thistle received a warm welcome from all at Annan Athletic, a most hospitable football club, and Tom Hughes was delighted to receive the piece of glassware, which will go on display in the Firhill boardroom, on behalf of Partick Thistle.
