Youth Round Up

Before kick-off yesterday our victorious under 19 side of last season displayed the SFL Youth Cup that they won at the season’s end by defeating Livingston 3-2 in the final.
This afternoon it was start of the 2010/2011 season for our under 19 side and we are delighted to report that they started the season with a 3-2 win against Morton at Beith Juniors.
Thistle led at the break courtesy of a Shaun Fraser goal. Morton were able to equalise in the second half but a second goal of the afternoon from Shaun Fraser restored Thistle’s advantage. A Jamie Campbell goal doubled that advantage and although Morton would net again before the finish, Thistle were able to start the league season with a victory.
Next up for the under 19s is the long trip to Dingwall to face Ross County sometime w/c 22/08/10.
Our under 17s were also in action today and they too started the season with a victory, defeating Livingston 3-1.
Our under 15s meantime began their season on Friday evening with a 3-3 draw with Queen’s Park.
