Youth Round Up w/c 22/08/10

In what was a disappointing weekend all round for Thistle, our under 19 side made the long trip to Dingwall to face Ross County only to suffer a 3-2 defeat.
All this after Thistle had led 2-0 at one point. Scorer of both Thistle goals was Shaun Fraser who has now taken his tally of goals for the season to four from two games played.
Next up for our under 19 side is a home fixture against Raith Rovers sometime w/c 29/08/10.
Our under 17s didn’t have a game yesterday but are in action this coming Thursday when they open their Glasgow Cup campaign with a fixture with Celtic at Lennoxtown.
The Glasgow Cup is being operated this season in a league basis with each team playing each other twice with the top two at the completion of the league season contesting the final.
Kick-off on Thursday night for anyone interested in attending is 7:30pm.
Football at under 15 and under 13 level is considered Development Football and as such we are restricted in what we can report from their fixtures. Both, however, were in action at the weekend. The under 13s narrowly losing out in an away fixture against Elgin City while the under 15 share six goals with Ayr United.
