88 mins: A poor Halliwell clearance puts the Thistle goal under pressure and a Jack shot is deflected for a corner. The corner is missed by everyone and Thistle have a throw deep inside their own half.

83 mins: GOAL THISTLE Thistle corner on the right. Not a great corner but the pressure is kept on and Erskine pushs the ball through to Simon Donnelly who scores with a low shot.

82 mins: Erskine earns Thistle a corner. Headed clear. Paul Cairney returns the ball and Robertson sees his shot blocked.

80 mins: Liam Buchanan sets up Paul Cairney and his shot crashes off the underside of the Annan bar.

77 mins: Chris Erskine nearly unlocks the Annan defence but his shot is headed away.

76 mins: Annan have the scent of a surprise here and win a corner on the right hand side. It's an excellent corner and they win another from the other side. This time it is cleared.

42 mins: A speculative Ryan MacBeth shot from 20 yards out isn't too far off target.

38 mins: Thistle corner again from the right. Flannigan's corner is deep to the back post but Simon Donnelly is adjudged to have fouled an Annan defender.

34 mins: Thistle force Summersgill into some work. Donnelly and Boyle combine and the latter's low shot is saved by the Annan keeper.

33 mins: A nice move involving Flannigan and Paton earns Thistle a corner. On the right hand side Flannigan takes it but Annan clear.

27 mins: Thistle corner from the left but the referee blows for a foul on Annan keeper Summersgill. Thistle having to work really hard to make a break through.

26 mins: Liam Buchanan pushes the ball through to Iain Flannigan but his shot is blocked.

25 mins: The Thistle fans are chanting for a goal but the Annan defence hasn;t been overly troubled so far.

19 mins: David Rowson's cross is turned behind for a Thistle orner. This one on the left. Good delivery from Flannigan but headed clear.

18 mins: Bryan Hodge's shot from the edge of the box doesn't cause the home keeper any problems.

15 mins: There has been nothing in the first 15 minutes to suggest that this will be anything other than a very difficult tie for Thistle.

11 mins: A cross from the left has the Thistle goal under threat but the ball is cleared from the six yard box but only for an Annan corner. The ball bobs about before Gilfillan sends a shot over the bar.

10 mins: A deflected Harty cross causes the Thistle defence some problems but it is cleared.

7 mins: Another Thistle corner. Worked short this time and from 25 yards out Bryan Hodge sends a shot well wide of target. Thistle settling in well and backed by a noisy support.

5 mins: Thistle win the game's first corner. Flannigan will take it on the right hand side. It reaches Donnelly who sets up Rowson whose shot is turned away by the Annan keeper.

1 mins: It's Flannigan on the right side of midfield for Thistle, Hodge on the left with Rowson and MacBeth inside. Big Thistle support inside Galabank.

o mins: The ball is immediately pinged down on top of the Thistle defence but Boyle heads clear.

Annan are going to kick the game off and will be shooting down the slope in the first half.

PRE-MATCH NEWS: The Thistle side selected for this Co-Operative Insurance Cup tie shows just one change from the side that defeated Clyde at Firhill seven days ago. Iain Flannigan comes in to make his Thistle debut with Kris Doolan the unlucky man to drop out. There isn't even a slot on the bench for the unfortunate Doolan. Ryan MacBeth keeps his place in the Thistle side although we will need to see exactly where he will line-up in the Thistle midfield. Paul Cairney returns to the sixteen after missing out through suspension last week but has to make do with a place on the bench.
