Scots Guards Casualties.

In March earlier this year, some Thistle fans from the 1st Battalion of the Scots Guards drove up from their barracks in Catterick to have a look at the ground they love before heading out to the Helmand province of Afghanistan. Such was their enthusiasm, they were accompanied by a number of their fellow troops, who also fell in love not only with the club, but with the welcome they received. Thusly, a few more Thistle fans were created. It was with deep sadness that we received the news that one of this week's fatalities was from that Battalion.
All at Partick Thistle pass on our deepest condolensces to the friends and families involved, and wish the rest of our new fans and their colleagues a safe remainder of their tour of duty and return home.
