Another New Young Jag Signs On

A little earlier this evening Thistle made added another player to their youth set up with the signing of central defender Chris Ketterer.
Chris who has been capped by Scotland twice at under 15 level and five times at under 16 level had previously been on the books at Rangers and last season helped their under 17 side retain the Glasgow Cup.
Chris was highly regarded at Ibrox and it was only his reluctance to continue full-time that prompted his departure from Rangers. Indeed Thistle had to fight off interest from other clubs to secure his services.
Said manager Ian McCall;
“Chris is a local lad from Springburn and we are delighted to bring in another talented young player with plenty of potential. It is a further sign that we are moving in the right direction with regard to Youth Development. Although Chris won’t be in full-time with us to start with he will work very closely with Ian Cameron and the rest of our under 19 squad.”
