Partick Thistle Football Club

 Eddie Prentice: A Statement.

Wednesday 22nd September 2010

Eddie Prentice, who stepped down as Chief Executive at the end of June this year, is to leave the Board of Directors of Partick Thistle Football Club at the end of September.

Eddie said, "It has been a privilege to have served the club as a Director for nearly 11 years, and my 2 year spell as Chief Executive, whilst very demanding, was also a great honour. I intend to carry on looking after and growing the Centenary Fund, which was launched in 2009 with the help of the Jags Trust, and which has been such a success, contributing £50,000 per annum to the benefit of the playing budget. This could not have been achieved without the support of our fans whose loyalty to the club is incredible.

I wish the new streamline Board and its recent appointee, Jim Alexander, every success in its efforts to return the club to the top flight in Scottish football where it rightfully belongs."

Club Director David Beattie added, "We would like to thank Eddie for his hard work and commitment over the past 11 years, and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours".
