Alan Archibald
Alan is now in his second spell at Firhill, rejoinig the Club in January 2007.
Alan in addition to having a loan spell with Killwinning Rangers progressed through the youth ranks at Firhill making his debut first time around against East Fife in April 1997.
Once established in the Thistle first team he became a mainstay of the Jags defence, won international caps at under 21 level, and played a pivotal roll in Thistle's back to back divisional Championships and in maintaining SPL status.
At the end of the 2002-2003 season, however, he left Thistle to join Dundee United where, like Firhill, he was a regular feature of the United defence.
Rumours of a return Firhill had been going round for sometime before he finally returned 'home' to Firhill in 2007.
Across his two spells as a Partick Thistle player Alan has amassed over 300 first team appearances in Thistle colours.
Now enjoying a richly deserved testimonial Alan is sure to be an important player in season 2009/2010.
In January 2010 signed a contract extension that will keep the ever popular Archibald at Firhill until the end of the 2010/11 season at least.
