David Rowson

Rowson first joined Thistle from Stoke City in January 2003 and he made his debut in a 3-1 home defeat by Livingston. In total Rowson played 13 times for Thistle in the latter half of the 2002/2003 season and made a vital contribution as Thistle successfully fought against relegation from the SPL.
Thistle were less successful in their fight against the drop the following season but Rowson's contribution was still a significant one playing 39 times and scoring 3 goals.
At the end of that season David returned to England when he signed for Northampton Town. After 75 appearances and 2 goals for Northampton he joined Darlington in August 2006 and last season had a spell on loan with Boston United.
David had started his career with Aberdeen making 161 appearances and scoring 11 goals while at Pittodrie. He remained at Aberdeen, aside from a brief loan spell with Livingston, until joining Stoke City in July 2001.
Was in consistently excellent form during his first season back at Firhill and ended the season by winning a number of Player of the Year awards. Was equally as consistent the following season and even managed to net a rare goal.
In January 2010 extended his stay at Firhill by a further season at least.
