John Henry

John fills a dual role at Firhill combining the positions of First Team and Under 19 team coaches.
A talented midfielder, John began his playing career with Clydebank and made well in excess of 100 appearances while a player at Kilbowie.
In August 1994 a reported fee of £175,000 took John to Kilmarnock and the Premier League. As he was at Clydebank, John was a feature of the team at Kilmarnock and, again as he did at Clydebank, he clocked up over 100 appearances while a player at Rugby Park.
After a spell on loan at Falkirk another reported six figure transfer fee took him to Brockville.
In total John spent just over 3 years with Falkirk before moving to Airdrieonians in October 2001 where he played under the management of current Thistle manager Ian McCall for the first time. John played 23 times for Airdrieonians as they were beaten to the First Division title by Partick Thistle.
Following the demise of Airdrieonians John found himself back at Falkirk the following season and once again under the management of one Ian McCall. John would spend a further three years with Falkirk helping them into the SPL along the way.
After leaving Falkirk at the end of the 2004/2005 season John had spells with St Johnstone and Queen of the South before ending his playing career in the colours of Dumbarton. His final game in senior football coming on March 31st 2007 as Dumbarton defeated Elgin City 1-0. In total his playing career spanned 434 appearances during which he scored 71 goals.
