Jonny Tuffey
Signed for Thistle from Coventry City in the summer of 2006 and initially faced the not insignificant task of disloging the highly popular Kenny Arthur from the Thistle goal. Indeed for much of his first season at Firhill Jonny at best shared the goalkeeping duties with Arthur.
Nonetheless he was clearly a young goalkeeper rich in talent and following Arthur's departure at the end of the 2006-2007 season Tuffey really began to blossom as a goalkeeper so much so that he is considered as one of the best young goalkeepers currently plying their trade in Scotland.
Previously capped by his native Northern Ireland at under 19 and under 21, Jonny made the step up to the full international squad during the 2008-2009 and continued a fine tradition of international goalkeepers at Partick Thistle by winning his first full international caps.
