Liam Buchanan

Liam arrived at Firhill in the summer of 2007 with an impressive pedigree. He started his playing career with Hearts but it was with Cowdenbeath that he came to prominence with.
After scoring a bucket load of goals for the Cowdenbeath under 19 side he made his first team debut in a fixture against Raith Rovers in January 2003.
In season 2005-06 Liam scored 17 goals as Cowdenbeath lifted the Third Division Championship and last season, despite Cowdenbeath playing in a higher division, he topped that total by scoring an impressive 23 times.
In total Liam scored 56 times for Cowdenbeath in 145 appearances.
Very quickly impressed the Firhill faithful and scored his first Jags goal against Livingston in the opening weeks of the 2007-2008 season.
Had scored 14 times and was among the division's leading scorers when injury brought his 2007-08 season to an end in February.
It was a frustrating time the following season for Liam as well. He didn't return to action until October and was out of the side almost as much as he was out of it as he continued to struggle with injury.
He did, however, continue to demonstrate his undoubted quality and scored 7 goals from 22 appearances in addition to setting up as many for other players.
